The Dallas Cowboys are looking to invest in e-sports. With the assistance of Epislon, an alliance data owned marketing agency, the Dallas Cowboys are researching whether or not to buy an e-sports team. If the Dallas Cowboys invest into the e-sports industry, they will be the first NFL team to do so.
"If we thought we could buy a team for - gimme a number - $2million, $3 million, $5million or whatever, but get $7 million in sponsorship deals over the next couple years, it becomes a no-brainer" Matt O'Neil, the Cowboys senior vice president of brand marketing, told Ad Age.
Notable professional teams that invested in e-sports are the Philadelphia 76ers, Valencia FC, FC Shalke 04, and West Ham United.
