Call of Duty World League Announcements

The upcoming dates for the Call of Duty World League events have been set. With the Call of Duty World League Atlanta open wrapped up, up next is the CWL Dallas open from March 17-19. There will be a 16 team pool play and 160 teams in an open bracket competing for the $200,000 prize pool.

Next, the CWL Global Pro League will be split into two stages. Stage 1 will consist of nine North American teams, six European teams and one Asia/Pacific team.

The 16 teams will be split into four pools, and four back-to-back weekends that begin on April 20th.

The Stage 1 playoffs will consist of the final eight teams, and will take place May 25-28. Stage 1 will have a combined $700,000 in total cash prizes.

Following Stage 1 will be the Online Qualifiers that will take place May 19-21. Two North American teams, one European team, and one Asia-Pacific team will represent the winners of the Online Qualifiers. These teams will compete against the last place teams from Stage 1 on June 15th in the relegation playoffs. Each team will earn spots in the CWL Anaheim Open June 16-19.

After the Anaheim Open, the four teams that survived the relegation playoffs, along with the twelve teams from stage 1, in stage 2 of the CWL season. Stage 2 will have a similar format of stage 1 with four back-to-back weekends starting June 29th.

Every team that qualifies for stage 2 of the CWL Global Pro League will also compete in the 2017 CWL Championships The Stage 2 playoffs will begin July 27-30.
