Boston Celtics CEO Wyc Grousbeck confirms eCeltics team in 2018

The NBA 2k eleague is gaining steam with another NBA team jumping on board with the rise of esports. Boston Celtics CEO Wyc Grousbeck and Celtics Managing Partner confirmed on the Forbes SportsMoney podcast that they will have an esports team competing in the upcoming NBA 2k eleague.
Grousbeck stated, "There will be an eCeltics. We will find players, we will compensate these players. We'll house them in Boston. They'll be a team. They will train. There's training for this."
Just recently, the Toronto Raptors announced they will be part of the NBA 2k eleague
Grousbeck continuted, "Madison Square Garden sells out in six minutes for an eSports event. It's actually a billion dollar business now worldwide and growing."
