Optic Gaming wins 2017 Halo Championship Series World Finals
Coming off their dominant performance at Call of Duty World League in Dallas, Optic Gaming continues their dominant run by winning the 2017 Halo Championship Series. Optic Gaming won four straight games against Team Envyus in the Grand Finals.
In previous rounds, Optic Gaming defeated Team Liquid in five games in the winners bracket finals, and Luminosity in the winners bracket semi-finals. In the loser's bracket finals, Team Envyus defeated Team Liquid in six games , and swept Str8 Rippin in the loser's bracket semi-finals.
Optic Gaming collected $500,000 coming in first place while going 22-2 overall, Team Envyus earned $200,000 in second place, Team Liquid earned $100,000 in third place, while Str8 Rippin earned $100,000.
